Crossville Speedway hosts the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals on Thursday, July 28. It will be the second appearance by the super late models at Crossville Speedway for $3,500 to win.
The Southern Nationals is an 11-race in 15 days series with Crossville Speedway being stop number 9. Some exciting races have already taken place with a tight points battle underway for this year’s champion.
Indiana’s Delvin Gilpin, Texas’ Chris Brown, Shanon Buckingham, Donald McIntosh, and others are all vying for this year’s title. They will be joined by other series regulars plus area and regional favorites such as Chris Madde, Casey Roberts, Billy Ogle Jr., and more.
Also racing will be sportsman, open wheels, and super stocks all for $1,000 to win each. Hey Jack Construction of Montery, TN and Delaney Logging of Sparta, TN are kicking in the extra money for the super stocks.
There is also heat race bonus money available for the sportsman and open wheels classes. There are two $50 bonuses for heat race awards for the sportsman class courtesy Midas Auto Center of Cookeville, TN. There are also two $50 bonuses for heat race awards for the open wheels courtesy Dreamscapes Landscaping of Cookeville, TN.
Up-and-coming recording artist Kris Hitchcock will be singing the National Anthem.
All gates will open at 4:00 CDT. Hot laps will start at 7:00 CDT. All times are central times.
General admission tickets are $20 for adults, kids 14 and under are free. Tier parking is $25 and pit passes are $35.
