Southern Nationals visit Thursday, July 27

Crossville Speedway will play host to the Schaeffer’ Southern Nationals presented by Sunoco and Tennessee RV on Thursday, July 27. The $3,500 to win race will set the stage for the championship run.

Driving for Crossville’s Randy Weaver, Brandon Overton will look to take the 116 machine to victory lane and remain in the mix for the series championship. Donald McIntosh has seen plenty of success at Crossville Speedway and will also be a factor. Shanon Buckingham is also in the title chase and has several strong outings at Crossville Speedway the last two seasons. Steve Casebolt, defending race winner Craig Vosbergen, and Ivedent Llyod Jr. are other series regulars.

Other drivers expected are Billy Ogle Jr., Caleb Ashby, Vic Hill, and other local and regional favorites.

Also racing will be steelhead late models for $1,000 (plus bonus money with Smoky Mountain Speedway), super stocks, and dwarf cars.

Gates open at 4:00 CDT, the drivers meeting is set for 6:45 CDT followed by racing action.

General admission tickets are $15 with kids 14 and under admitted free. Tier parking is $20 with kids 14 and under admitted free. Pit passes are $35.
